As disciples of Jesus\, who in his ministry constantly found ways to reach out to those in need\, we are called to do likewise and reach out to those who are hurting; much more so should we be committed to journeying with those who have been hurt by the church’s words\, actions and inactions. Learning more about trauma-informed perspectives is a vital way of working towards meeting that commitment.
