Listening, Learning and Walking Together.
A brief summary of the Conference is as follows:
9:30-9:50 Prayer, Welcome, and a very short history of Social Justice Conferencing in the Archdiocese of Regina.
9:50-10:40 Archbishop Don Bolen sets the direction of the day, re: Historical highlights and the Church’s need to respond to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s calls to action
10:40-11:30 Personal sharing by Jason Worm- “What it has been like for a Meti person to grow up in Saskatchewan.”
11:30-12:00 Group reflection and discussion on what has been heard thus far.
12:45-1:45 In song, story-telling and discussion, Sister ReAnne and several First Nation friends share experiences on relationship building.
1:45-3:30 Bishop Don and an Elder will co-present- Further reflections directed towards advancing awareness and engagement. A more complete brochure will be distributed in May.
