Regina Catholic's New Student Trustees

Seated across a Regina boardroom, 10 young women avidly discussed their new student-led organization, which they believe will have a real impact on education.

They’ve called themselves STRIVE — the Student Trustee Representative Initiative for Voice and Engagement — and in three weeks they will have a place at the Regina Catholic School Board table.

Prime Ministers Teaching Award to Two Saskatchewan Teachers

Michelle Dizy, Regina and Moose Jaw’s Lucille Gilliland’s innovative use of technology in their early education programs has won them special recognition from the Prime Minister’s Teaching awards. Dizy received the Prime Minister’s Certificate of Achievement Award and Gilliland received the Certificate of Excellence Award.  “It’s such an honour,” both said in interviews with the PM.
