Dear Retrouvaille Couples,
We want you to know we are praying for you as you go through your weekend on May 9 10 in South Korea.
We understand the courage and strength it takes to take in such a weekend. We attended our Retrouvaille weekend in November of 2004. It was during our second separation and after extensive counseling that we went to Retrouvaille. We arrived for our weekend with protective walls between us, very closed and with not really any hope for our marriage. This was going to be the last thing we tried and then we could go our separate ways.
However we are both people who carry through with whatever we begin and so it was with our weekend. We began with a great distance between us and with a feeling of hopelessness but we were there. That provided the tiny space for God to work his plan in our lives. Over the weekend the walls came crashing down and we became very vulnerable.
It is in our weakest moments that God can heal and transform us. We found hope and forgiveness. We learned we were not alone in our struggle, we had many Retrouvaille couples to support and pray for us. We made a commitment to work at our marriage, to love and care for each other and Retrouvaille provided us with the tools to help us do that.
We pray that you will be open to receive the gifts of healing, forgiveness and hope that are offered to each and every participant. Let God work his miracles within you and continue to keep the Retrouvaille community in your lives as your pathway to growth and God’s peace.
We will continue to keep you in our prayers as you move through your journey. All of our members on the Board of Directors for Retrouvaille Saskatchewan will also be praying for you.
