One Year Term Position


The Archdiocese of Regina requires a full-time person to serve as Chaplain at Wascana Rehabilitation Centre. 

Karen Ziegler, our current Chaplain will be retiring after 22 years of dedicated service to the Church and WRC clients, their families and the staff.

The position will initially be filled on a one-year position while we are waiting for more clarity about the new Sask. Health Authority spiritual care model support system.

Due to the short turn-around time to fill the position, all applications must be received by March 30, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. 

Applications should forward to the attention of Bob Kowalchuk, Director of Pastoral Services and should include the following:

·An expression of interest in the Chaplaincy position.

·A statement of relevant experience providing or volunteering in spiritual care,

·Training or courses specific to hospital chaplaincy 

·Names of two- character references

Applicants should send either a letter of reference from their priest / parish administrator or member of the clergy with their contact information to verify their support for your application.

The individual who obtains the position must be able to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Search though their local police service.

Preference will be given to people who have completed the CPE courses or equivalent education in spiritual care.
