The Director of Pastoral Ministry will develop, support, and coordinate pastoral ministry programs and initiatives that promote Faith formation in all stages and states of life.
•Coordinate, implement and administer Diocesan ministry programs aimed at fostering the theo-logical education, spiritual formation and pastoral training for missionary discipleship.
•Develop and implement new and effective strategies for evangelization.
•Liaison with, pastors, parishes, vicariates and communities in matters of ministry formation.
•Serve as staff to various task forces or committees related to pastoral ministry.
•Work with the Leadership Team to support the Bishop’s pastoral vision.
•Oversee and coordinate the offices in the department.
•Oversee the interpretation and application of relevant data regarding the demographics of the Di-ocese on Diocesan pastoral ministry programs.
•Promote educational and formative programs, events, and resources designed to inspire a Catho-lic way of life.
•Assist as resource person in research and development of pastoral services as future needs arise
•Assure that the budget for the department is prepared and presented in a timely manner.
•Maintain a level of knowledge and skills required for this ministry. This can be accomplished by reading, attending workshops and conventions.
•Other duties as assigned by the Moderator of the Curia.
•4-year college degree from accredited college or university.
•5 years of service to the Catholic Church or equivalent in pastoral ministry roles.
•Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships;
•Proven leadership with vision, strategy and execution;
•Knowledge and respect for community organizing and various organizing networks;
•Strong public relations, writing, and communication skills including comfort with media inter-face; able to work in a team-oriented environment
•Handle multiple assignments consecutively and prioritize workload.
