Couples For Christ
This is a religious movement intended for the renewal and strengthening of Christian family life. It is a community of Christian couples who have committed themselves to the Lord and to one another, so that they may grow into maturity as men and women of God. To fulfill their primary vocation of raising up their families under the lordship of Jesus Christ and for the service of the Kingdom of God. It is a work of Christ which raises up Christian couples and establishes Christian families committed to the work of evangelization and winning the world for Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. It grows mainly through the establishment of localized units in different parishes. To visit their website click here.
Catholic Engaged Encounter (CEE) is an intensive weekend of preparation, in which each couple is offered the time and opportunity to question, examine, and deepen their relationship, share in community and be open to God's plan. Topics covered during the weekend include; self-awareness, values and ideals, communication, decision making, intimacy in marriage, Natural Family Planning, prayer and unity. Couples are given opportunities to learn more about one another as they engage in deep and meaningful discussions between themselves, dealing with all aspects of married life. A weekend stay is necessary to keep the atmosphere generated by the Encounter - away from the distractions of everyday lives. These marriage preparation retreats are held at various locations in Saskatchewan (Moose Jaw, Muenster, Wolseley). To register, visit our website or contact Stella or Ron Anderson at (306)596-2951

It is with great hope and joy that the Catholic Organization for Life and Family (COLF) announces the launch of its Message to Families 2008. Entitled "Towards a true sexual liberation," this text aims to inspire readers to discover the “theology of the body” as taught by Pope John Paul II.
Given the hypersexualization of the human person in our society, and the fact that we are celebrating the 40th anniversary of Pope Paul VI’s prophetic encyclical Humanae Vitae, this new reflection is an invitation to discover – or rediscover – the meaning of life while learning about the true significance of the human body, sexuality and love … At the beginning, what was God’s plan for human love? What is the truth about the human being – the man-being and the woman-being?
This document will be particularly useful to parents, teachers and everyone who seeks to guide young people towards a healthy understanding of human sexuality. It will also be of interest in helping young men and women to discern the vocation that God intends for them: marriage or celibate chastity lived out in the priesthood, in religious life, or in the celibate lay apostolate in the world.
