Archdiocesan theologian and ecumenical officer Dr. Brett Salkeld was recently invited to participate in a Catholic-Evangelical Conversation in Vancouver. The event was sponsored by an ecumenical group called Church For Vancouver and hosted at the historic downtown campus of Coastal Church. The event was a panel with Dr. Salkeld and Dr. Jeff Greenman, the President of Regent College (an important evangelical College in Vancouver) followed by an address by Pastor Ray Bakke. Dr. Salkeld and Dr. Greenman discussed things such as what the biggest similarities and differences are between Catholic and Evangelical Christians and what we can learn from one another. Pastor Bakke reflected on how Catholic-Evangelical relations have shifted over his decades in ministry, including his work with Billy Graham.
