Who do we say we are small slide

The Prairie Centre for Ecumenism and the Archdiocese of Regina present: Who Do We Say That We Are? Enriching Christian Identity through Inter-Religious Engagement. On Saturday, March 18, from10:00am-4:00pm at the Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Cathedral,  in Regina

Is it enough to tolerate people of other faiths? How, instead, might Christian faith be deepened as we engage in dialogical and practical engagements with our friends and neighbours of other religious traditions? Can such engagements lead to a more profound encounter with the mystery of God?

You are invited to join us on Saturday, March 18, to listen to and dialogue with four speakers whose studies explore these very questions. Come for coffee, for lunch, and for some great discussions as we explore together the great promise of inter-religious dialogue for Christian identity.

Our speakers:

Dr. Brenda Anderson, Assistant Professor of Religious Studies and Women’s and Gender Studies, Luther College at the University of Regina. Her research and teaching focus on issues of women and sexualities in religion, colonization and decolonization, and violence against women, and, specifically, Islamic feminism. She is involved with interreligious dialogue at the national and international level through The United Church of Canada and The World Council of Churches.

Dr. Darren E. Dahl, Executive Director of the Prairie Centre for Ecumenism and Adjunct Professor of Religious Studies at St. Thomas More College, Saskatoon. His research and teaching focus on philosophical and systematic theology, phenomenology of religion, and the history of Christian thought.

Dr. Franz Volker Greifenhagen, Professor of Religious Studies and Dean of Luther College at the University of Regina. He teaches in Luther College’s Interdisciplinary Studies Program and does research on relations between Christians, Jews, and Muslims, particularly their textual traditions.
