Dear Priests, Pastoral Assistants, Liturgy Co-ordinators, and Pro-Life Partners,
Earlier this year Archbishop Bohan established a Reverence for Life Commission and decreed that October be observed annually as Reverence for Life Month. The Archbishop’s proclamation is attached to remind you of this most urgent initiative in defense of life and the dignity of the human person. It would be most appropriate to bring this to our people’s attention once again, perhaps through the addition of the proclamation in the parish bulletin on the last Sunday of September. Please take note of the accompanying “Liturgical & Prayer Resources Handbook” which is offered to assist you in observing October as Reverence for Life Month in your community.
