KAIROS: Canadian Ecumenical Justice Initiatives is a Canadian faith-based ecumenical effecting social change through advocacy, education and research programs in: Ecological Justice, Economic Justice, Energy and Extraction, Human Rights, Just and Sustainable Livelihoods, and Indigenous Peoples. These programs are informed by, and networked with, approximately 21 partner organisations in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East; about eighty local grassroots groups across Canada; as well as with countless other organizations, churches and individuals.
Locally, KAIROS-Regina has a strong and active committee composed of members of Anglican, Catholic, Evangelical Lutheran, Quakers and United Church, that meets every month to discuss and find ways to advocate and be part of the voice expressing concerns about issues in Saskatchewan; these include housing, nuclear power, nuclear waste burial, tar sands, global warming and climate change, and Aboriginal issues. KAIROS-Regina helps plan the Good Friday City Way of the Cross. Phone Dan (306) 584 5487.
