Parish Advent Mission with Matt Nelson
St. Vincent de Paul Parish in Weyburn is hosting their annual Advent Mission on Dec 2 and 3 at 7 pm with special guest speaker Matt Nelson. Matt’s two-part presentation is “Prepare for the Lord! 7 ways to ready the mind, body, and soul for Christ’s coming.” Matt will discuss how, during Advent, we prepare to commemorate the first coming of Christ at Christmas while we look ahead to Christ’s second coming at the end of time. Matt will suggest seven key strategies for preparing ourselves to encounter Jesus this Christmas season and beyond. Everyone is invited!
Matt Nelson has worked with Bishop Barron’s Word on Fire Institute, contributed writings to Catholic Answers Magazine, has authored his own book, and edited another. He has appeared on EWTN radio, Salt & Life Television, Relevant Radio, Ave Maria Radio, and a number of podcasts. He holds a Doctorate in Chiropractics, a Bachelor of Education, and is pursuing a Masters in Philosophy. Matt is a husband and father of four. A project of the St. Vincent de Paul Parish Spiritual and Adult Faith Formation Committee.
