Breakout Sessions:

Appeal Training: Parish Manual and Parish Kit How To’s
The Appeal breakout session will take a look at the contents of the Parish Manual and Parish Kit to help you move through the Archbishop’s Appeal with confidence and a clear understanding of its goals. During our session, we will review items such as donation processing and the purpose of parish lists. We hope to answer your “why” and “how” questions, such as “Why is this important?” and “How can I complete this task well?”. Lastly, we will close our time with a Q and A session. If you have any questions or concerns, please come prepared to share!

Youth Ministry: Young people and Faith: What can I do?
Join Braden and Michelle from the office of youth and Young adult ministry, along with a panel of young people who will speak to you about their faith; their journey to get there, and about what was instrumental in building their faith. We will also spend some time looking at what individuals and parishes can do to build up the young church.

Ecumenism:  So, I met my neighbour. What next?
In this short workshop, Nick Jesson will outline Catholic teaching on the work for Christian unity, where we are today, and what you can contribute “so that all may be one” (Jn. 17:21). The workshop will include a discussion of projects underway in our diocese and how your parish can be part of this movement. What is the role of the “parish ecumenical representative”? How do you work with your neighbours? What happens next? How can we help you?

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd: Religious formation for Children, Integrating the Heart, Mind, and Hand.
CGS is  based on the education principles of Maria Montessori. Come and see how scripture and liturgy are proclaimed to the smallest among us and learn more about this hands-on approach to Catechesis.
