Synod Listening Session: “Enlarge the space of your tent” (Isaiah 54:2)
You are invited to join the Synod’s Continental Stage on Saturday, January 7 from 10 am to 12:30 pm as we gather to reflect on the “Document for the Continental Stage.” Come give your guidance and advice to the Archdiocese’s delegates who will be part of the North American Listening Sessions in January.
The document poses the following questions which we will explore together:
- which intuitions in the document resonate most strongly with the lived experiences and realities of the Church in North America? Which experiences are new, or illuminating to you?
- what substantial tensions or divergences emerge as particularly important in a North American perspective? Consequently, what are the questions or issues that should be addressed and considered in the next steps of the Synod process?
- what are the priorities, recurring themes and calls to action that can be shared with other local Churches around the world and discussed during the First Session of the Synodal Assembly in October 2023?
