What is World Youth Day?
Saint Pope John Paul II announced the institution of World Youth Day in December of 1985, as an annual gathering of youth and young adults for prayer, worship, and celebration of the Catholic faith.
The event is observed annually in dioceses and every two to three years at an international gathering.
What’s Next?
The next World Youth Day to August, 2023. Due to a variety of factors, the Office of Youth & Young Adult Ministry will not be facilitating a pilgrimage to World Youth Day in 2023. If you are interested in attending, please feel free to reach out and we will do our best to connect you with a group.
