Ecumenical committee members Lana Hebert, Vic Lavallee, Doug Shepherd, Heather Shepherd, Vicki Mayer and Father Jake Ibay organized an interdenominational service during the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity.  Held at Church of Our Lady in Moose Jaw, it began in November, with personal invitations and yellow roses, symbolizing friendship, sent to thirty-six churches in Moose Jaw. Father Jake served as the leader during the event, held on January 25, and Bishop Larry Hasmatali gave a homily outlining the importance of unity.  He began by stating that unity is essential to get... more

Ponteix Pilgrimage

The parishioners of Notre Dame d’Auvergne, in Ponteix have been celebrating their yearly pilgrimage since 1934. This year the celebration took place on Sunday July 16th and the theme was,  “The Lord Has Done Great Things For Me, And Holy Is His Name”. (Luke 1: 49.)  The members of the Archdiocesan Young Adult Leadership Team shared their personal testimonies with the pilgrims and lead the music for Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and the Anointing of the Sick. by Alison Bradish, a member of St. Joseph’s Parish in Moose Jaw.  This summer was her first time visiting St. Gertrude’s in Pelican Narrows. August 7th, 2017, a small group of people bow their heads.  They pray for a joyful and safe trip as the early morning sun previews a beautiful day ahead.  They are about to make a clothing drive personal.“As far as I know this is a pretty unique situation.  It is so easy, so possible,” says Fr. Last Good Friday the Knights of Columubus and CWL from the parishes of St. George, Assiniboia; St. Louis, Mossbank and St. Ignace, Willow Bunch hosted a public Stations of the Cross in Assinboia. A good crowd came out to take in the public Stations of the Cross.
