Effective September 1, Rev. Melchor Samonte was appointed Administrator of St. Henry’s parish, Melville. The parish had been served by Oblate priests for over 100 years.
Rev. John Mock, who was appointed Pastor of St. Peter’s Parish, Lumsden, St. Jerome, Regina Beach, and Silton (Summer service only) as of August 1, 2024, is on medical leave amidst knee replacement surgery and recovery until early in the new year when he will take up his assignment as Pastor of Lumsden and Regina Beach.
Rev. Anthony Tran, Pastor, Our Lady of Seven Sorrows, Lampman, Sacred Heart, Benson and, Mary Queen of the Apostles, Maryland, is temporarily out of ministry due to a work permit issue. He will return to ministry in the Lampman region when able.
Rev. Ricardo Escalante is no longer ministering in the Archdiocese of Regina and has returned to his homeland of Trinidad.
Rev. Augustine Ebido, OP, will be named Administrator of Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, Fort Qu’Appelle; Sacred Heart, Lebret; St. John, Balcarres; Mary Immaculate, File Hills, (serves Peepeekisis, Okanese, Star Blanket, Little Black Bear); Standing Buffalo, Pasqua, Muscowpetung upon arrival in Canada. Fr. Ebido is currently awaiting his work permit.
