After just over 3 years of service as the Archbishop’s delegate for Clergy Sexual Abuse, Maureen Dumonceaux is moving on to other areas of service in the church. We are deeply grateful for the time and commitment she has given to the role of the Archbishop’s delegate. Bishop Don has appointed Kelly Banga to succeed Maureen Dumonceaux. She assumed this role in November 2025. Deacon David Hudy will remain the deputy delegate.
Both the confidential email [email protected] and the confidential phone number 1-306-400-3655 will continue to be utilized. It will be continued practice that if the delegate is not available, the deputy delegate will be the contact person. Updates to the clergy sexual abuse policy are coming in the first quarter of 2026.
We also would like to remind people that Lorie Harrison, RPC, MPCC, is contracted to work with victims of clergy sexual abuse. Victims can self-refer or be referred by others. The Victim Services and Advocacy person, Pamela Walsh, remains an available contact in this area as well. The mandate of the VSA is to provide outreach, accountability, and transparency for victims/survivors. She is also available to help others, either with education or to provide education for non-victims, parishes, and others in the community about the accompaniment of victims, the legacy of clergy sexual abuse, prevention of abuse, and other related topics.
