
Sr. Alice Labrecque rjm
Sr. Alice was born in Rosetown, SK. Her parents, Eugene and Lucienne Labrecque, raised 14 children. Alice was born August 23, 1926, and died November 17, 2025, at the Jesus Mary infirmary in Sillery, Quebec. Sr. Alice Labrecque (after Vatican 11) (formerly Mother St Luc in 1946) joined the Jesus Mary order of nuns. Made perpetual vows on April 25, 1946, in Gravelbourg.
Sr. Alice spent many years teaching in Saskatchewan – Gravelbourg, Coderre. In Regina at the French School, St. Pius X, for 7 years. She was moved to several places in Europe, Miramonte, Switzerland, at a finishing school for girls. While there, she taught French and escorted girls throughout Europe and the Holy Land. In Lyon and Paris, France, she taught French and helped her sisters with chores.
Our dear Sr. Alice loved praying, teaching, loved life and socializing. Retirement found her in Lauzon (called Levis), Quebec, and 10 years later, she moved to the Jesus Mary convent in Sillery, Quebec.
