Sometimes getting started with giving money can be tough – how much, how often, what can I afford?
The first step begins with prayer, the second with a family or personal budget that can help you with understanding your debts, expenses and income. After that, we suggest thinking in terms of “growing percentages.” You might want to start as small as giving 1% of your income and gradually grow from there.
Many people find that once they get started as an automatic monthly donor, they no longer notice the difference in income, but they do notice the great feeling of knowing that they can now offer a helping hand to someone in need in our world.
